“I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relaxed in my body as this week of the Making Love Retreat.. and to witness with awe and delight the upwelling of love and the return of my sexual energy and desire after many years of resistance that arose during menopause.  We’ll be back next year, no hesitation.”

YOUR GUIDES

Me&G24 Forest.JPG

Hello! We’re Sarah and Graeme, authorised teachers of The Making Love Retreat®, and we’ve been in a committed relationship for seven years. The Making Love approach has been at the heart of our relationship from the very beginning, and we love to share this way with others.

Before we met, we each spent decades on our own paths – healing, unlearning, growing and discovering what truly supports intimacy and connection. At times it was painful, but it brought us here. Today, we’re in the relationship we once dreamed of. It hasn’t always been easy, and like all couples, we’ve moved through challenges as well as good times. But by making our relationship a priority, our intimacy and love continue to grow and deepen.

Together, we weave decades of study, practice and teaching to support couples in opening to deeper intimacy and connection through the Making Love approach. When we teach, we’re known for being grounded, warm, inspirational and a lot of fun.

We offer retreats, sessions and courses online and around the world, and we’re passionate about guiding couples to discover what’s truly possible in love and intimacy.

In addition to being authorised Making Love Retreat® teachers, Sarah Rose Bright is a Love, Sex and Intimacy Coach, host of the Love, Sex and Intimacy Podcast and Gene Keys Guide who works with women and couples. She guides women and committed couples who feel stuck and unfulfilled in their intimate lives – and know this is the missing piece. Women return home to their body, awaken their sensuality and discover their true power. Couples transform sex into lovemaking, creating an erotic life filled with depth, passion, and love.

Graeme Waterfield works with men to support them to shift to a mindful and tantric approach to self pleasure and love making. He is a fully qualified counsellor, Tai Chi instructor, yoga and meditation teacher.  With over 30 years as a practitioner and 20 years as a teacher, Graeme Waterfield brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to his work, supporting countless individuals to find balance and personal empowerment.

“Sarah and Graeme created a beautifully held space. Their teachings were infused with wisdom, simplicity, emotional intelligence, and a wonderful lightness of laughter.”

THE VENUE

We have exclusive use of The Lost Manor, a private sanctuary tucked away in the Devon countryside. Hidden behind ancient stone walls, the manor holds an atmosphere of deep peace and relaxation — the perfect setting to unwind, exhale and settle into retreat.

The house has a warm and elegant feel.  Spacious living areas, cosy fireside corners, landscaped gardens and a Mediterranean-style pool (not heated) all create an environment that supports rest and rejuvenation. There’s also an indoor gym, tennis court and sauna.

We have accommodation for up to seven couples in beautiful bedrooms. Each bedroom has its unique character and comfort. Most rooms have en suite bathrooms, and all rooms are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Throughout the retreat, you’ll be nourished with lovingly prepared vegetarian meals made with seasonal and local produce wherever possible. We’re able to cater for allergies and specific dietary requirements.

Looking ahead, we’d love to bring the Making Love Retreat to new locations – including America, Canada, Greece and Asia. We welcome invitations and recommendations, so please reach out if you have a venue in mind or are interested in hosting us.

“There‘s absolutely nothing I would change about this retreat. The level of love and care that you’ve put into this is outstanding.”

WHAT COUPLES ARE SAYING ABOUT THE MAKING LOVE RETREAT

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relaxed in my body as this week of the Making Love Retreat. The care of all the details allowed my mind to have a holiday…and let me deeply drop into my body. The stillness and inner quiet has been a gateway to connecting with my partner in presence and to witness with awe and delight the upwelling of love and the return of my sexual energy and desire after many years of resistance that arose during menopause. We’ll be back next year, no hesitation."

A

"It has almost been 4 weeks since The Making Love retreat. I’d like to report that our level of closeness has been unprecedented and  is just deepening due to our regular ‘plugging in’. All we have to do, which is our commitment to our relationship, is show up for our scheduled twice a week dates and the relationship takes care of itself. There is so much more softness and tenderness between us. The fighting energy and friction that has been with us for so much of our 11 years together seems to have melted, only temporarily arising and with less intensity when it does. The love making is so precious and connecting, it is like a spiritual initiation and a surrendering all the old ways of ‘doing’ sex."

M

"When the world is constantly giving the message that sex is a performance, wild massive orgasms essential and hard and fast is a good thing, it’s incredible to discover how relaxation and slowing down opens up the possibility of deep connection, heart opening lovemaking, and space to soften into our bodies and allow our genitals to do what they know best. Sarah and Graeme held a beautiful loving space for us, new in our relationship and over 70, wondering if our love making could be more fulfilling. Their experience, knowledge and ability to hold the room created a wonderful experience where we connected with our bodies our partners and learned so much."

Daphne

"Sarah and Graeme come together with deep knowledge, compassion and humour to create space in which we can explore and release so much of the conditioning that weighs on western society today. We will never be able to move beyond our present dysfunctional way of life until we can treat our sexuality and our relationship with love and authenticity. The real route to the full expression of ourselves starts here."

T

"Sarah and Graeme created a beautifully held space. Their teachings were infused with wisdom, simplicity, emotional intelligence, and a wonderful lightness of laughter. I also deeply appreciated the care and attention they put into every detail — from the lovely venue to the delicious food — everything supported a profound journey of reconnection and love."

Beata

"The Making Love retreat is a beautiful and unique experience which offered us an extraordinary and transformative journey into the heart of conscious sexual intimacy. Sarah and Graeme’s guidance and simple tools helped us to deepen our understanding of the essential part that coming home to self plays in creating the container for a deeper and more fulfilling love life together.  These tools also helped us navigate our way through some of the more challenging aspects of our relationship ultimately returning us to loving connection.

Sarah and Graeme are amazing facilitators! They bring their deep personal wisdom and knowledge and an embodied understanding of conscious sexuality grounded in many years of learning and experience, and their evident love for each other.  They also demonstrate a beautiful level of care and loving attention to couples’ needs, from which we benefitted enormously. All of this wrapped in a wonderful sense of humour and honesty which allowed us to feel truly immersed in the field of love. This is truly profound and essential healing work for these times."
